If you drive down Market Street in Lewes you will come across an attractive old Methodist Chapel, which has evolved into one of the best places in town for a leisurely rummage.
Now run as Lewes Flea Market it's THE place to go for a piece of retro chic, genuine antiques or 70's kitch. This Flea Market is one of the real hidden treasures of Lewes and has attracted dealers and the Public through it's doors for the past 12 years. They come from as far as Japan, Korea, the US, Spain, Hong Kong and appear to be regular shoppers judging by their friendliness and eagerness to spend.
Newhaven flea market, started in the old church premises in Newhaven town centre in 1975 this led to a second market opening in an old coaching stop in fashionable and bohemian Kemp Town, Brighton in 1990.
